Grey Owl on Wood

Artistically, I was feeling stagnant. I needed something new, some inspiration to pull me out of the muck. It was so refreshing to dive into a totally new media! This new experience freed my spirit. Working with the wood and fire was super grounding. The new tools humbled me to let go of what I thought I knew and to be excited about discovery again. I just did what the wood told me. I am excited about the imagery my students were producing today. I am excited to see what wonderful, creative discoveries they will make as they heat the tools up tomorrow!!
